July 2013: Thomas Faust wins the attocube Research Award for his PhD thesis

Thomas was awarded the attocube Research Award which honors outstanding, highly motivated students of CeNS, WSI or ZNN who performed excellent research showing strong innovative ideas and pointing at potential industrial applications.

January 2013: Eva Weig and the Nanomechanics Group move to the University of Konstanz

November 2011: Eva Weig receives Phyics Prize of the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen

On November 19, 2011, Eva Weig was awarded the Physics Prize of the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen in recognition of her research of the mechanical properties of nanosystems at the interface between classical mechanics and quantum mechanics.
